How to Become a Poll Worker
Without a doubt, elections depend on the dedication of the individuals who work at the polling places.
In Dutchess County, more than 1,000 civic-minded citizens are needed every Election Day to work as election inspectors and voting machine custodians.
Boards of Elections throughout the nation, including Dutchess County, have a continuing need for new poll workers.
If you are a registered voter in Dutchess County, are enrolled in either the Republican or Democratic party, and are interested in learning more about:
- training,
- pay,
- hours,
- and other details of the positions,
please call the Board of Elections. Ask to speak with Michele Brant (486-2722) or Steve Gold (486-2721) for additional information. Or e-mail us at dutchesselections@co.dutchess.ny.us
