The Important Poll Worker
In many ways, the success or failure of the electoral process depends on the competence and dedication of the individuals who work at the polling places on primary and general election days. Below is a note from our Supervisors of the inspectors. And right here is information on:

May 8, 2007
Dear Elections Inspectors and Alternates,
Welcome to the 2007 pre-election season. We are looking forward to working with everyone once again and for another successful year of elections. Enclosed please find the schedule for election inspector training classes through September 2007.
Please note that in response to the suggestions you made in the Inspector’s Survey, we have scheduled many more classes than in the past in an effort to keep our class sizes down and therefore more productive. There are 20 classes spread throughout the county and the summer months so if everyone attempts to attend the class in their particular area of the county, we may accomplish your wishes of smaller training groups. You are, of course, free to attend whichever class is most convenient for your schedule and we will be scheduling a number of classes during the month of October as well.
Attending inspector training every year is a New York State requirement. At training you will be asked to complete an Oath of Office. Please also note that you will be contacted by either your Coordinator or our office if you are assigned to work the Primary or General Election.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the enclosed, please contact our office.
We look forward to seeing you over the summer.
Sincerely,
Michele Brant Steve
